Painting seems to be my obsession. I feel some resentment at all the other things in life that take me away from my studio. This obsession constantly judges all other calls on my time and energy. I am so happy to welcome a New Year!   2022 was a year filled with extremities.    I had some crazy good things happen this year. I made major breakthroughs in my work. I mastered new techniques that made a difference in the quality of paintings I am producing. I got a large commission, the largest in my career! To top it off, I participated in three art festivals for the first time.      Most importantly, someone very close to me made hugh steps in overcoming a terrible addiction in their life.
