The Creative Life - Barbara Trovillo

Ciao a tutti, With the holidays behind us, I am back to work! I am creating a series of paintings based on material gathered during my recent visit to Umbria. I like to work on several things at the same time, mainly because I grow impatient with the inevitable pauses. Often, one must step away from a piece in progress, perhaps, to allow a layer of paint to dry or to solve a design issue....any number of reasons.   Today, I find myself reminiscing about food.   Whenever, I travel to Italy, I look forward to certain foods: pasta, of course, but also GELATO, and Pizza! Let's not forget, Apertivo, the practice of sitting outside enjoying an iced cocktail along with lovely complimentary snacks. Obviously, these are warm weather partakings.   This is the first time I have been there in Winter. I was urged before I left by an Italian friend to not neglect to try an Italian Hot Chocolate.
